At least two locomotives from Southern Pacific (USA) were sold through broker Chrome Crankshaft around 1980 to someone in Suriname. I cannot locate anything as to the status of the locomotives and which ones were sold. I do know that two were RSD12s of Alco manufacture.

There are no passenger rail services in Suriname. Is there freight? There may be some narrow gauge sugar lines.
