Was BS with Green Line branch & Lechmere stations being closed, as well as being allowed to take buses in between rail lines. Not a record by any means in my opinion.

I was wondering that myself... still, the time differential is not that far off from what I would have chalked up to overall trip time savings from light ridership and shorter station dwell time. It does seem to be a bit of apples to pears in more than one regard.

Agreed that every station in regular operation should be visited with either arrival or departure by train.

Taking buses (or other public transport besides the relevant metro rail network) is fair game according to London rules (the ones tracked by Guinness) so long as either arrival or departure is by train. (Even walking between stations is not allowed under MIT rules!)
