Not positive on this, but I believe this was a high-hood unit on the NS that has had its nose chopped. That weird, Darth-Vader-esque cab roof must be from when they chopped down the hood.

Again, just my best guess, don't take it as gospel.

Well it looks like they salvaged the number boards, and the section where the lights and the sand fill is. The portion that looks liked they cut out was from below the boards down to those equipment doors by the walkway. They could've gotten a new cab or reused the original and welded the middle two front windows in. A true cut and paste job!
