I just received the June issue of Adirondack Life magazine today and was thrilled to see a good article on the life and times of the Adirondack Division, today's Adirondack Scenic Railway. The article's primary focus actually involves moving rolling stock from Thendara Station (Old Forge) north to the Saranac-Lake Placid corridor over a roadbed that barely holds the load. It also includes some good photography taken along the line. As the rain falls over the next day or so, if you can grab a copy of the magazine, it makes good reading.
