Wow, thanks Tom! What an absolutely charming article! I love stuff like this and I had no idea it was there... I've got to go see this bridge before they convert it! Seems easy enough to get to. So he spends an 8 hour day there!? Thats great! I really have to go check it out...

Might be motorized already as the article was written in 2000. I too indeed am interested in seeing the bridge sometime in the future. I guess it isn't too far from New Brunswick but I'll have to do it when I can borrow somebody's (my Mom's probably) car.

Nice article to read. But from an economic point of view...this guy is paid an 8 hour shift to work 5 minutes a day. Unreal, only Conrail.
