Most of CA11’s cars usually come from Paulsboro. The poster probably saw the train between there and Camden. They’ve hauled more than that before but not too often. The train actually goes to Carney’s Point not Pennsville -which is the next town down from Carney’s Point.
What's in Carney's Point that generates that much traffic? Google maps shows the site of what was once a giant power plant, but that's long gone

There are customers between Paulsboro and Carney’s Pt. A lot comes from SMS at Pureland. DuPont is at Carney’s Pt and until recent years, used to also get coal trains. The long gone power plant was the old AC Electric plant below the Delaware Memorial Br that’s since been demolished.

JohnFromJersey- in a nutshell, there’s not much down there. It was probably a busy day with a lot to pick up from SMS and Paulsboro among the other stops. My apologies for not being more clear.

The Conrail heritage unit 8098 came in on today’s NS 38G which terminates at Camden. Saw it while traveling on I-95 earlier in Philadelphia. It was trailing as the 3rd unit of 3 GE widecabs all of which were facing towards Camden.
