Ive noticed the SLR has been installed new crossings all over the place, as well as new rail. Anyone got any info about this?

The intermodal facility at Auburn is getting a lot of business, isn't it? The improvements may be to accommodate the increase in traffic. I'm sure someone out there is more knowledgeable about this than I am.
I'd like to think that it may have something to do with the proposal to return passenger service between Portland and Montreal, which, the last I knew, is still on the back burner. It was under serious discussion a year or two ago.
