Siemens Sacramento plant gets light-rail order from Seattle

Siemens Corp.’s Sacramento light-rail plant announced an order Thursday to build 122 rail cars for Seattle’s mass transit system.

The contract is worth $554 million, according to Sound Transit. The transit system, which serves Seattle and Puget Sound, finalized the order last week.
