per CSX Train Symbol Updates
M300 ACCA Yard - Richmond, VA - Oak Island, NJ (CSAO)

Previously Rocky Mount, NC - Oak Island, NJ (CSAO)

M301 Oak Island, NJ (CSAO) - ACCA Yard - Richmond, VA

Previously Oak Island, NJ (CSAO) - Rocky Mount, NC

Hmm, why come out of Richmond and not Rocky Mount?

This is the best thread I could find to post, but as we passed by Newark-Liberty yesterday I saw NS 5638 and CSX 8076 parked, but not coupled together, across from the runway on the east side of the Turnpike. Plenty of power including the NS 1700, parked on the far side at the end at Oak Island Yard.

First spot sounds like Port Newark. 5638 has been there a while.

The CSX RF&P unit is parked in Port Reading.

Not necessarily photos from NJ, but I am sure this train originated from NJ and came down the old Lehigh Line. From my recent trip to PA. Allegheny Tunnel looking west towards Gallitzin.

Does anyone know if Conrail plans on running their Santa train this year?

Supposedly the conrail santa train is gonna run on either December 14 or 15. Can anyone confirm this?

Last years trains were both a nice treat. I wonder if the E8 will be running again in South Jersey.

I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who said it will be on Saturday, the 21st. If there's no other confirmation you could check Metuchen Yard and see if they took Conrail caboose 22137. OI-32 comes in between 11PM and 4AM and should pick it up Friday night or Saturday morning and bring it to Oak Island Yard.

If it goes like last year, they'll depart Oak Island around 4PM and run down the Lehigh Line and turn around onto the Port Reading Secondary at Bound Brook. Then they'll go to Port Reading and eventually go up the Garden State Secondary back to Oak Island. It seems they briefly went over Newark Bay too.

This deserves its own thread as the date gets closer or when it's confirmed.

Darn. Wish it was on the 14th as it would've helped with my schedule lol. Have also heard they may run to Browns this year but unsure on that.

No train for South Jersey or Detroit in 2024.

Has Detroit ever had a santa train of their own? Would be kinda cool for each part of conrail to celebrate Christmas like this.

Kinda sucks a little bit that South Jersey won't get a train this year. I did hear that the guy who set up last years E8 run retired recently though.

Since it's a multi-line thing I made a new thread: https://railroad.net/conrail-santa-trai ... 77674.html
