Friday morning on the Philly Sub. started off with D732 racing west with 3 engines and 8 boxcars. Next up was Q173 with the approach at E. Feltonville because D729 was not yet in the clear at the west end. Third is Q703 working hard with a relatively short train. Fourth is the Q406 with a classic GP40-2 leader and The Spirit of Grafton third. The last train for me was Q370. Check out the video.

Last Saturday my wife and I were at Rochester Yard with the baby and I got some quick "grab shots" before the sun went down. I couldn't get the link to work but if you click on the blog link below they'll be the ones that pop up first.

These aren't really locomotives or anything but still good pictures, the Clark Ave yard one is one of my most favorite pictures I've ever taken.

Here's Q409 heading past the old West Englewood depot (all that's left are the structures over the pedestrian underpass) in Teaneck NJ.

Supposedly the singer Phoebe Snow grew up right here, and took her name from seeing the Lackawanna box cars going by on the freights.

Here are some shots from Monday's outting in the Cumberland environs.

First up Q249 at Mance with Cumberland helper D255 on the back.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=204579

This was followed by another helper shot, this time in the form of D256 on the rear of Q383 at Glencoe, just barely made into town for that one.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=204578

After that it was off to Cumberland where yard job Y102 was getting into position at Virginia Ave. to pull a cut of cars.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=204600

After hanging out around Cumberland for a little while I headed down to Keyser and came across some AC's in the yard.

Then it was back to Cumberland to get a shot of some "Classic" CSX power sitting behind the shops.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=204898

From Cumberland back up the hill I went to Mance to find a Loram ballast cleaner hard at work.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=204897

Finally in what is traditionally the last light of the day for eastbounds near the summit I caught Q138 running east on Number 1 at the S-es at Keystone.
