Senior Man

Yesterday (July 1) David Sullivan, the oldest Boston & Maine Conductor still working, retired from MBCR passenger service after 53 years. "Sully" hired out with the B&M at East Fitchburg in 1957 and worked his entire career on switchers, road freights, and passenger trains on the Fitchburg Division. He will be missed.

Congrats to Mr. Sullivan! Here's wishing him a very happy and relaxing retirement.

And he didn't mention a word to anyone, just got on his last train, went home and pulled the pin. Congrats to Sully, and here's to a relaxing retirement, he sure deserves it.

Any relation to Jim Sullivan out on the west end?

or Paul Sullivan on the East End?

I know for certain that Dave was not related to Paul and I'm not sure about Jim on the west end, but I tend to doubt it.
