They are pruning the railroad for a preemptive merger down the road. Just my opinion but this is what EHH wanted and I believe the new management eventually wants. And frankly I agree with Ironman, I don't think they care as long as they get the most money for the sales and regulatory approval allow...

Some reports say NS could be a possible suitor for the Boston line but with the current agreement with Pan Am ownership of the Patriot corridor not sure how that would all legally play out.

Your welcome and enjoy. I've noticed the coke trains tend to come through in the morning so you can always hit them when they get called.

It's about three years old but that's all I had saved. I see I included the orchard Park job by accident. I didn't have the coke train symbols either

Agree Matt. The employees and customers deserve much better. Now that Foote has been made a permanent fixture, it will be interesting to see who will be running the operations

Just my opinion here but Foote has never been a CEO before and CSX is no small undertaking. Even though he has many years in the railroad industry, his expertise is marketing, not operations. He might have what it takes to handle this monster situation but I am guessing John McPherson will come off ...

I believe train 208 currently exists in their schedule but it runs through Georgia. There might be a couple new trains coming but unless they are changing trains around the symbols are probably bogus

You can see this sale coming. Harrison is cancelling huge projects, the Howard Street tunnel expansion/rebuilding, the intermodal terminal in North Carolina, North Baltimore Ohio's huge terminal and the resignation of Sanborn and Eliasson with his former CN man Foote. The whole system is being widdl...

It's truly amazing to see that before and after picture! When you look back to the first threads and from the doubt of it's actual construction, to the tree clearing and the bridge in it's final stages is pretty impressive. All the planning and hard work has just about paid off. Bravo!

It would look great on an excursion trip over the Buffalo Southern / NYLE if they could extend service and run to Cherry Creek, tack on a couple of more descent caboose and just run a unique trip . Of course it would have to come down in price and get fixed up but it wouldn't have to be trucked to f...
