You mean get promoted and have a genius idea about changing the designation of mechanical tracks in Danbury. No thanks I’ll leave that to you.

Are you on weed? Or have you become so senile that you can’t pickup on sarcasm, we certainly know you’ve dealt a lot of it in your time.

I think what you'd need to do is go to GCT at the height of the evening peak and note the departure times of the first and last trains shown on the board for each line. You'd need 20 to 30 minutes' worth of departure times visible on the board at one time to provide some reassurance for passengers,...

It would be helpful to have two island platforms at Greenwich rather than the two side platforms, but really don’t think that can happen.

I’m not going to read through all 4 pages of this thread, so maybe this has been said by someone else already; but here at MNR it has been said multiple times that the biometric clocks will not have any effect on payroll, rather this is an attendance issue making sure that people are present at work...

The track boards at tracks 115 and 114 have been replaced. The only gripe I have is the silliness of having 3 New Haven Line departure boards in the terminal, 2 Harlem and 1 Hudson. Especially since now they only show the track for the next 2-3 departing trains. There is no need to show an empty tra...

All of the information signs at the train gates are supposed to be replaced as well.

Faux FDR Car Removed

I know there is a locked thread on this already, so mods do as you see fit. I’ve recently got confirmation that the allegedly mysterious FDR baggage car has been removed from GCT yard and sent up to the Danbury Rail Museum. I’m surprised that thing was able to move at all. Now it can have a wonder r...

If you notice carefully they have changed the styling of new boards a few times since it was first activated. The railroad is definitely experimenting to see what works.

The lower level loop was out of use way before LIRR. I don’t think it’s been used since they got rid of Madison Yard. The lower loop will occasionally store passenger trains.

It was part of the lower level loop. I don’t think it actually connects to anything anymore.

This would be devastating if they have to recall all the on-board and wayside equipment.

GCT to NHV (73 miles) in 60 minutes means average speed of 73 MPH for entire trip. GCT to Stamford (33 miles) in 30 minutes means average speed of 66 MPH for entire trip. Stamford to NHV (40 miles) in 30 minutes means average speed of 80 MPH for entire trip. Is the MAS really going to be raised so m...

I’m sorry, but this is beyond absurd! Purely a political ploy. The way I see it, 30 minute service between NH and Stamford and Stamford and GCT will not serve enough people. What stops will these trains make? Stamford, Greenwich then H125 and GCT? The more stops you add the more time it takes. Will ...

The Wi-Fi on the trains is so that the video from the interior cameras can be downloaded wirelessly for immediate review. It is not for public use.
