The new boards have gone through many evolutions since conception. A lot of back and forth with the Historical Society, and brightness I think was one issue. Quote" Thought that just occurred to me-- will LIRR departures be posted on the boards in the main concourse, or will they only be listed...

Quote" Like it or not, this is the future of highway revenue. It's a knock-on effect of increased fuel efficiency in internal combustion engines and the increasing use of electric vehicles. Gas taxes nationwide are bringing in less and less money since they're levied on a per-gallon basis and t...

On Friday, May 10 2019, the last M-2 train set consisting of cars 8522-8523, 8738-8739 and 8736-8737 left MNRR property and embarked on their final journey of 575 miles to Frontier Industrial Corp in Ohio. Crews from New Haven MOE began prepping and sending cars out on November 20,2011. The salvage ...

Might be the 2 engines MNR is renting from Amtrak

The only safety device that came out of this accident (BTW I lived in Hawthorne for nearly 30 years and there was never any accidents at Commerce other than what has been reported here) is what is called a pre-exemption on the traffic light to allow traffic to exit the area by a forced green light o...

Pleasantville, NY ---Pubstreet

Formerly Iron Horse

I am going to go out on a limb here but I don't think anyone from the Gov on down wants good train service from Rockland/Orange into the city. If there was, there would be trains/light rail (or at least provisions for the future) on the new Tappan Zee Bridge. Why 2 bridges instead of one that could ...

The whole thing is liability, as MNRR has much deeper pockets than any vendor in GCT, and that's what a lawyer will go after. Reverse the letters of MTA and what do you get?

Last year there was talk of resurrecting the old Maybrook line. Not because of commuters, but for an aggregate company in CT looking for a shorter route to the city and South. There was a lot of activity about it, and I had to go out and scout for some radio sites for coverage, but that has all died...

My wage progression was on my anniversary date each year. Maybe the difference is based on craft and contract.

There will be numerous buildings demolished with Federal Monies, including MO. How do I know? Was contacted to remove any radio equipment and antenna's we want to keep from lots of locations. Like I said just the start there will be others up and down all the lines in a quote "beautification pr...

The additional channel is to clear up the radio traffic, if you could only hear what it sounds like in the RTC. It's more like CB 19 than a rail channel, and has been an issue for many years. The radio dept has cut power back on bases to cut interference but there is just TOO much traffic over the w...

Dutch Unless you worked on the mitigation program to eliminate the noise issue with the radios, I don't think you are putting out good information. The issue with Chan 2 and to a lesser extent 1 and 3 is switching power supplies both on the train and outside, as well as other noise sources. The powe...
