Second, is traveling BOS <==> BBY still officially fare-free? I do BOS-BBY every day, and I usually aim for a PVD line train since tracks 1-3 have escalators. When fares increased last year, they checked them for a couple of days, then stopped. No conductor on a PVD line train has checked them sinc...

Wish they mentioned exactly which train had this issue...because this was probably my train. On Tuesday, all the Old Colony lines were experiencing delays of at least 20-30 minutes. My train home, 019, departs at 4:40, and is usually at the platform when I get to SS around 4:25. On Tuesday, there we...

Try the footbridge that runs between Newport Ave. and Billings Rd. It has a good view of both the RL and the commuter rail switch just south of the bridge. You can probably also take some shots in the Chipotle parking lot next to the switch.

Today's morning trip to a long delay after a breakdown in the Southampton yard area, and then another delay in Bourne. One person on Twitter said they lost all power, but don't they usually have an engine on each end of these trains? https://twitter.com/janetwunews/status/ ... 17057?s=21

Someone built a site to track the new OL & RL trains along with the type 9s. https://newtrains.today/
