True. I think the name is in the abandonment filing
Too bad about the geeps. Definetly know someone who’d be interested in one or both.

So is the line now officially “abandoned” and now the equipment is landlocked In Passaic?
Contract probably won’t be awarded till January from what I’ve been hearing
No more Charlie Pellett eh? Interesting.
The Dome car has always been expensive to maintain, especially with high heating and cooling costs. Now, since the train is the last of its kind, it is also more difficult to get parts for repairs. Due to these factors, the Great Dome Car’s fall run will probably be its last. The car will run on Am...

Lvrr325 Thanks for the info, I did see the other unused industry sidings and the portion to Fulton that was cut after bird dye foods left. Any photos of last freights north of just the Budweiser around?
Seeing now that the line is up for sale, and was just tracing it on Google Maps from Oswego to Syracuse. What is the history of this line? I did a quick search on here and found that the crossings were paved over pretty much Fulton and onwards with the crossing gates left in place. So just a curious...

This is incredibly sad. I would start a gofundme to purchase the FA 1 if it was up to me, but I think it's beyond saving at this point. A point was brought up to me that due to the years of carrying around the various liquids on the Gel Train, the frames on #s 615 & 622 were probably reduced to...
Thanks for the photos and wow they're really aggressively cleaning house.
I would assume so since these cars were in front of the bogies. There's about 6 or 7 6000 series gondolas and LI 107 which is from the old rail recovery train (build date of 1945) lined up at hicksville freight. The 6000 series cars were supposed to go to Ohio until some issues over interchange cam...
The door apparatus on the M8 is made by Vapor (same in the M7) and so will be on the M9. Has nothing to do with the car manufacturers, just newer versions of the same door system. Design really hasn't changed much, what you're hearing is the door motor as it spins,
