A new (to us) locomotive is en route to the Delmarva. Former DRRV GP10 #1823, former WW 732, is en route to Federalsburg for crew familiarization and inspection. It is unclear which line will be it's primary base. However, it should work Federalsburg to Seaford in the short term.

The two B23-7s also left a couple weeks ago en route to SMS in Jew Jersey. I don't know anything more about the T-6 or RS-18.

I'm surprised it has taken this long to have them removed. I saw NS park and later pull a gondola where Nevamar was there a couple years ago to remove some large electrical component. Other than the crews out of time and the occasional MOW equipment parking up near the derailer, that spur hasn't bee...

Last I had heard from a trainmaster for the Delmarva Central RR is that the railroad south of Hallwood, VA is going to be pulled up. Northampton and Accomack counties are done with it.

The DCLR just did work on an industrial siding in Worton, MD. Trackwork will be their core business at the beginning of the year.

Hurlock Days 2018 is coming up. The scheduled date is 10/6/18. There is a strong possibility of two RS3m locos working the train since #1201 came to Federalsburg a couple months ago.

Don't think for a second that the only other remaining short-line prior to the DCR on the Delmarva is not aware of what is transpiring either.

Also, for those who have been around a while, the DCLR lost the contract for 5 years in the 1990s to operate both lines. 1994-1999 if I remember correctly.

Word on the street is that the DCLR may lose the contract for their lines come the end of the year. The second half of that is the Delmarva Central RR will take over the line(s).

Stay tuned.
