Scrapped Alcos

Cut Up for Scrap: Delaware Coast Line 23, an Alco RS1,
was reportedly scrapped in Georgetown, DE, on July 10.

Any usable parts have been saved for use in another RS-1 by a private party.

RUMORS:

Heard rumor today that the two C636s in Cohocton are being scrapped as we speak and that two of the ex GBW C424s in Lakeville are next (sold to the same scrapper). Can anybody confirm?

There were Five Alcos on the Tioga Central in Wellsboro PA from 1994 to 2014.
now there are none.
the three RS1's, listed above, were salvaged for usable parts, and the rest scrapped..the other two locomotives were sold and moved:

Alco S2, TIOC 14.
Originally Buffalo Creek No. 46.
Sold to the Livonia Avon and Lakeville, who plans to return the unit to service.

Alco RS3m, TIOC 506.
Originally D&H RS3 4112.
Rebuilt by the D&H into a RS3m in 1975, was the D&H Bicentennial unit.
Sold to the Livonia Avon and Lakeville, who plans to return the unit to service.
Moved to Olean NY in October 2014.
Still wearing her D&H Bicentennial paintscheme as of January 2015, but will likely be repainted.

Do you know the history of the late, lamented, RLCX 1063? The photo of it when it still had a cab shows it as having extensions of the cab roof to cover (at least) the rear walkway. This reminds me of some switchers owned by industrial users who wanted to protect the locomotive and/or its crew from stuff falling down: locomotives used in quarries, for example.

It appears to have been built 1/48 for McKneesport Connecting (which I think was a steel mill road) which added the cab overhang.

It's now been 12 years since 2005 when these two C424's were reported to be stored at NRE. Their fate remains unknown.

When locomotives go this long without being seen by anyone, the usual reason is: no one has seen them because they have ceased to exist, But ive never seen it confirmed one way or another..its still possible, if less likely, that they are wasting away somewhere.

Any one have any recent insights, or recent aerial photos of the NRE facility?

Where is it? Might be worth a road trip if someone was so inclined....

Or a virtual drone sighting via Google Earth / Google Maps. Just need a street address. Most of their satellite imagery is pretty recent, e.g. captured within the past 1-3 years.
