Santa Fe Diner??

Observed the 18 running eastbound at Newark Broad Street with a Santa Fe passenger car in tow at about 2:00PM today. Saw the 18 again a couple of hours later running lite engine west thru Morristown. What was unusual is that I was at Morristown yesterday and there was no Santa Fe lettered car there, unless it was in the house which didn't appear to be the case..

If had to guess probably "Epicurious" (or close to that) going out on a charter. It is often stored at Whippany with the other privately owned passenger equipment.

It was dropped off at NJT's MMC to be delivered to Hudson Yard on Amtrak last night.

Thanks. It is now coupled to Hickory Creek at Hudson. Hickory Creek was in Boonton yesterday late afternoon.

Yup, it was the "Epicurus," a private car stored on the M&E at Whippany.
