Does anyone know when the upgrades and addition to Rousselot's track, supposed to start? Last year the state awarded money to this as a transportation improvement project. If I remember correctly, this improvement will allow for more car storage and allow trains to be longer. With the longer trains and additional storage, they are aiming to cut down the number of trains needed.
It takes real skill to choke on air, fall up the stairs and trip over nothing. I have those skills.
Just wondering why they are looking to reduce the number of trains needed. If they build more storage would they still need to bring a switcher in to move cars in and out of store?
Is it because the downtown Peabody is is difficult to get through or that the more frequent train traffic to disruptful?
From the picture on the photo page they did not pick up any of the dozen or so empties off Allens Lane.
