RUMOR needs confirmation

I have been told that Canadian Pacific crews are upgrading the old Brewer-Calais rail track. I had earlier heard that the state was engaging to tear the line up for a natural gas pipeline. Anyone know what is really happening, or is nothing happening?

As far as I know the Calais Brewer railline is still in Limbo. Nothing has been announced that I know of from the Calais end. There is a proposal to put a LNG terminal near Eastport which might tie in with the Pipeline in place now in Baileyville. The rail line from Eastport to Ayres Junction might be a routing for a new pipeline.
