Rolling stock for 2018

Has NS said anything regarding their orders for new rolling stock and any of their existing fleet to be rebuilt for 2018/2019?

Well there is a that deal with GE to rebuild 500 C44-9Ws into AC44C6Ms starting this year, with 100 to be done each year IIRC. Last I heard they were also planning for at least 50 SD70ACC units (rebuilt from SD70s) to be completed by the end of this year, with that work being done by Progress Rail.

I also heard they may be getting some more rent-a-wrecks from PRLX, as well as CIT and GECX.

They don't have anything new planned right now, but if they do order anything in the near future it'd probably be from GE.
