Haha yes it would! Apparently it's being removed due to it being in the way of building 4 new yard tracks and an expanded parking lot with a second access way to the main road.
Here is the plan…

No, the pictures were not taken in 2006. Must've been a default date on the camera. Those pictures were definitely recent given the equipment seen in the background like 1138.

I believe 1504 was involved in a slow speed head on collision with an Amtrak AEM-7 in 2014 outside of South Station. Given the age, damage, and the fact there was no money, they never repaired it and it has sat on the Rochester siding since then. However in fall 2019 (when the MBB overhaul program began) 1504 was lifted up off the rails and over to the side of the Rochester shop building so it could be easily have parts salvaged to use on the MBBs there were to be rebuilt. Now that it has been salvaged for parts, it's ready to go to make way for the Rochester shop expansion.

Do you guys think 1526 will be next to retire? That one was involved in a collision, but I can’t remember which one it was and it has to be in rough shape by now. Hoping that they will do something with the rest soon. Also, is there any plans of doing something with the ones that are stored in Seaview as operable?

16 single level passenger cars that have been stored around the Terminal have been moved by the work extra to Westminster lay-over yard for long term storage. The 16 cars was made up of cuts of stored passenger coaches on the Yard 10 lead, The FX (South) Wye and B&A tracks/4th iron. I guess they are making space around the terminal.

The car that have gone into storage are and not limited to: 200, 207, 209, 233, 235, 244, 245, 250, 251, 257, 510, 512, 521, 523, 530.

In the near future, the work extra will be bringing more passenger coaches into storage at Iron Horse Park
