I took some pictures in Kazakstan recently. The catenery in the former soviet countries is very "soft", i e the weights who keep the wire in tension are wery light compared with Europe.
In Europe operators are good adviced to have video-records of the pantograph behavior when talking to the rail provider when the catenery have came down.

I something like this while in Kiev, Ukraine on the Ukrainian State Railways while on Vacation between Augest 4-11th 2007 both applyed on Trains as well as some Electric Bus's and Trolly Cars. Vary intresting concept for a railroad that may not be 100% first class but getting there!
