I just learned of two Alco transactions that have not been reported earlier.
1) Ex-P&W 2004 sold to Thunder Rail in Saskatchewan, Canada

2) Ex-CP RS-23 8032 in Fort Fairfield, Maine. This was purchased from NRE.

Ayone have more info on these?

According to Ozark Mountain Railcar's web site, the six M420Ws have been sold. Anyone know who the buyer was?

Just received this information from a yahoo list:
Great news!

"Now that financing is in place and the deal has closed with CN, think I am at liberty to advise that Trillium has purchased two ex-Ottawa Central RS-18's.

Both locomotives will be assigned to the St. Thomas & Eastern with #3582 being relocated to PCHR."

...Why get buy a "new" locomotive, if they just got rid of an existing locomotive? ...does not compute...

Mike,

The WNYP acquired the C630M from the A&M back in 2003, partly because the C630M was an oddball in their fleet. Notice, the A&M seems to love their C-420s. Also this was 6 years ago now? The needs of the company must have changed as well. Everything on the railroad is done for a reason or for no reason at all. ;)

GVT has recently acquired the sole survivor of Wabash's C424 fleet from Associated Electric. She was built for N de M, diverted to Wabash as B905 and is now #2409 on the D-L.

Catskill Mountain RR in Kingston just received an S-1 # 407 from a broker. It will keep this number and RS-1 2361 will be renumbered 400 to match 401 and 407.
