Anyone know the location of the Reading 2102 Northern, or the 425 pacific. They were in the Steamtown Roundhouse until 2000 or so. I remember one mechanic was employed to repair the 2102 while at Steamtown. Now they've been gone for years, and I haven't heard of them.
I rode behind the 425 probably in 1997 or 1998. It would travel at mainline speeds for the 14 mile excursion. Great sounding coal burner.

Both are back on the Reading and Northern at the Port Clinton shop complex.

Any plans to run either of these in the near future? Are they even operable??

Neither is currently operable. When I asked the question at the open house a few years back all I could get on steam was a shrug. I have a feeling the 425 is going to be restored as time permits, to keep the shop guys busy when not working on the diesels.
