There is actually a Railroad Township within Indiana:

It appears that the ERIE's main line ran through such with first station to the East; North Judson.

I never knew it until a Chicago TV weather forecaster (whoops; meteorologist) mentioned such.

The ERIE is gone.

Conrail considered it redundant, and it was sold to a Short Line, the ERIE Western.

Well, that flopped; and that was that!!
