Just wondering...
Will it ever be folded into Social Security?
Is there such an arrangement for the newer hires?
Do the railroads enjoy any benefits from having Railroad Retirement as opposed to Social Security?

Actually I am not completely sure how RR differs from SS + Pension - with pensions being slashed in the corporate world left and right, is this program threatened.

I sincerely hope it's never folded into social security! AFAIK, all railroaders pay into r.r. retirement, there's no other option.
