I'm now having the same problem. I had at least one unread message in my inbox this morning, but at the top of the page it said "0 new messages." I did, however, get a pop-up telling me that I had new messages. Not sure why the message count indicator would be off.

Strange.. If I search for RFD-TV I get "No posts were found because the word rfd-tv is not contained in any post.", yet it is in my post here: http://www.railroad.net/forums/viewtopi ... 0#p1311302.. Bug?

The search function, like many other site functions, has been messed up for quite a while... :-\

When I need to search the site, I use Google Advanced Search instead:

http://www.google.com/advanced_search" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Scroll down to where it says "site or domain" and type in railroad.net

Then scroll back up and enter your search terms.

Thanks! On slightly further investigation it seems the search is choking on the "-" (hyphen) character. I just found the phpBB "manual" which instructs me that the "-" is indeed reserved as an operator in searches.
