Does anyone know if there are street railroad crossings in New York City (any borough), Boston, or Newark, NJ?

Welcome, bradon!

If you mean "street railroad" in the old sense of a streetcar or trolley car line, Boston, Newark, and New York City have long abandoned their streetcar systems as such. However, the Ashmont-Mattapan High Speed Line in Boston has crossings at Central Avenue and Capen Street, and the Grove Street LRT line has grade crossings at Orange Street, Franklin Avenue, Franklin Street and Belmont Street. Newark Light Rail used PCCs until recently, and the T in Boston still uses them, though these lines better fit the definition of LRT.

In that case - yes, too many to list in each city. Check out one of the online map sites to find them.
