On May 18, Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern ran a freight out of Utica on its Lyons Falls line.

Behind No. 805, an ALCO C425: one covered hopper, four empty lumber racks, No. 2453 (also a C425 ALCO) and two Adirondack RR coaches.

Once at Remsen's Snow Junction, 2453 and the passenger cars switched over to Adirondack's home rails where they proceeded up to Beaver River, stopping first in Big Moose to pick up contractors who will begin working on the restoration of the line up to Tupper Lake.

This video catches the complete train on Remsen Hill, Prospect, and the Adirondack work extra in Forestport at Pit Four:

On Dec 14th, newly repainted and renumbered MA&N 2455 departed the Utica yard sporting a new look. The 1964 ALCo product began its service life as Erie-Lackawanna 2455, then went to Conrail followed by a stint on BC Rail.

It came to the MA&N many years ago numbered 805. It retained that road number until receiving its new paint job.

Here's 2455 southbound in Remsen going past a waterfall:

The six cars behind the engines were switched out of 3B Timber, Boonville. They will be picked up by CSX in Utica.
