"PERRY" sign removed.......

I have noticed on the old "Perry" tower in Perryville, Maryland that the Penn Central "PERRY" sign has been removed.
Does anybody know why? Theft? Removal for Preservation? The sign in question was located on the south side of the tower.

I had heard it thru the grapevine that the tower was to be removed in the near future.. Hope thats just a rumor but I guess we will see...

I don't believe it's a rumor unless some Historic Society jumps in to save PERRY Tower.
Many of the Classic PRR Towers along the Corridor are slated for demolishion THIS year!

So get those shots before they're all gone.
