Was coming through Johnstown, Pennsylvania on Friday, near the ex-PRR passenger depot, when I had an "FL9" sighting.

Don't get your knickers in a wad, Christine; it's not what you thought.

Passenger automobile, Connecticut plates (markers) - "FLNINE"

Never saw the driver (one of us?).

I think this counts as an "FL9" sighting, don't you?

FLNINE is an enthusiast. He loves those engines and is a very active volunteer at the Connecticut Eastern Railway Museum in Willimantic.

Over-the-road mileage from Johnstown, Pa. to Willimantic, Conn. is approximately 450 miles.

I'd say he was a little bit off the beaten path, but it was nice to see his dedication out here in NYC/PRR/B&O territory.

The car's owner and another friend of mine (an Amtrak engineer) were touring the ex PRR late last week.
