Based on observation at the Clybourn station where the North line and Northwest line diverge, there are three trackways for the North line, but only two tracks going north.

The third track stops just south of the station.

Looking north using google maps, I see definite evidence of a former third track existing or at least provision for one (on bridges).

Who knows when it was removed and why? Did it go all the way to Kenosha?

Thank you.
