For a whiole I had an NYC VHS tape --- IIRC a collection of home movies --- of NYC materials which I believe contained things like the following (just a sampling):

- A train on the Auburn Road
- A sequence or two of the Syracuse-Massena RDC in its last days
- The Adirondack Div. final fantrip

I stupidly trashed this when I cleaned out my VHS tapes (becuase I longer had the equipment to play them) and i have no information on who produced and marketed this item, or --- of more value --- whether the same item is available in DVD. Can somebody help?

The tape is New York Central Memories produced by the CNY Chapter of the NRHS. Don't know if it's on DVD. It's not shown on their website. I will be at their show in Syracuse on November 1st and let you know what I find, if you like.
Just to add....I forgot that I can copy VHS tapes to DVD. Let me know.

I will be very pleased to take you up on hat offer --- to see if "New York Central Memories" is available in DVD.

Regarding copying my existing VHS onto a DVD, I am frankly not sure if I still have the VHS. I tossed almost all my VHS's when we retired our last VHS machine (We found that a DVD recorder is surprisingly not very expensive and serves us just fine for time-recording off the TV when necessary).

You can contact me off-forum at [email protected]

Thank you again
