Hi
I'm new to this forum.
I thought i'd start with sharing a few pics and videos of the only narrow gauge railroad still in regular use in Sweden.
The "Roslagsbanan" serves today as a commuter railroad in the north-east part of the greater Stockholm area.

On a visit to Stockholm about 20 years ago I remember visiting this line - using it to get to the place where I stayed. The carriages then were a bit third world as an African travelling with us observed.

When possible, always post a Wikilink! (Roslagsbanan) for history and reference purposes :P .
And I keep forgetting how pervasive McDonald's is in the world (top photo, bottom left of the image).

David Benton wrote:I never knew there was a swedish inch and foot , that is a different measurement to the international one . interesting .
Also a Swedish mile = 10 km. Takes some getting used to, to remember that when someone says, "Oh, it's only five miles" it's more like 30 English miles.

I haven't posted for a while but here are some images from the Uppsala-Lenna Railroad. This used to be part of the Roslagsbanan network up untill the late 1970's

These are from Marielund Station

This one can actually run on both 750v (old) and 1500v (current) power, the current was changed in the 1930's but this X3p no:35 was in daily operation until 1993.
