Greater Sudbury Stops & Stations

Via Rail is good at providing information regarding the primary stations in Sudbury which has been helpful for when I take the train (Sudbury Jct, Downtown & Capreol). However, I'm unable to find much information regarding where the trains pick up & drop off passengers in the suburb communities. I have been able to determine where the Cartier station is because of pictures but Via Rail does not list the station's address (which is Spencer Street). http://www.viarail.ca/en/stations/ontario/cartier

Via's information regarding many of the other stations is vague at best. Does anyone have any information regarding the Azilda, Chelmsford, Larchwood & Levack stops?

I believe this to be the Chelmsford stop as there is what appears to be a shelter (as listed on the Via website). http://www.viarail.ca/en/stations/ontario/chelmsford

Have you tried calling Via and asking? Just a guess but calling either their main customer service number or the station in Capreol might produce some information.

I will attempt calling locally (well, locally in Sudbury) to find out that information. I've contacted Via Rail's by email & telephone on numerous occasions. The customer service staff pulls their information from the Via's website, which unfortunately doesn't offer much help.

Greater Sudbury has more train stations & stops that are still serviced by passenger trains than some of Canada's larger cities (granted, many of these stations are serviced by one of the same trains.)... Winnipeg, Edmonton, Halifax, London, Saskatoon... all larger in population than Sudbury have one station respectively. Even a place like Québec City & Ottawa with their multiple stations do not compare to the amount that Sudbury has.

Just checking some of the other jurisdictions in Canada, Greater Sudbury has more active train stops & stations within city limits (7*) than the entire province of Nova Scotia and just as many as the province of Alberta.
