Disclaimer: FL Gov. Rick Scott's General Counsel is a former CSX executive.

Editorial Comment: Another chapter in how to give away a state to corporate interests.

Presume you are fond of the parking lot known as I-4.

I live in Ocala, and rarely travel I-4; I-75 instead. I am aware of the situation regarding travel around Orlando.

I am generally in favor of SunRail, however it does nothing for residents of my area. We saw the last passenger train through here in 2004, loss of service through Lake City on the Sunset Limited in 2005, and now can look forward to longer waits behind grade crossing gates in the future as CSX freights roll through.

That's progress, I guess. My home stations on Amtrak are now Palatka (N/B) and Deland (S/B). I won't ride a bus from Ocala. In fact, will be taking a trip to NY a week from today, boarding No. 98 at Palatka.
