According to this:
http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/sb/ra0110/#/50

140 cars have been delivered as of January 1st.

now i'm assuming an equal number of A and B cars, so that would mean about 5639 and 5139, which is about right...
i didn't know they were coming in this fast though...

I saw a train running today that included 5647 and 5129 for what it's worth. And I let it go and waited 15 minutes for the next old train. :-D I can't remember; has anyone said for sure if they're being delivered and/or going into service in numerical order?

Everyone: Should we start a PA1/2/3 retirement thread? With the introduction of the PA5s are an equal number of these older cars being retired?
Will the Kawasaki PA4s be the last to be retired - retained or sold off to another transit operator? Will some of those become PATH's new work equipment?

I like the design and color of the PA5s-very similar to MBTA's 0700 Blue Line cars-but from riding them and giving them a good look-over I am sure that I am not the only one that will miss the head-end views...

A test train running in the Meadows today included car # 5787. So thats approx. 187 cab-cars. Anybody know how many cab-less cars are on the property?

I wanna say something in the 60's like 5167 or 5168

So that would mean roughly 255 cars (187 cab-cars + 68 cab-less) or 75% of the 340 car fleet. Okay............. Actually I'm surprised it's taking this long. I originally thought it was all going to be over by this past winter. I guess we're on borrowed time now (chuckle!)

5785-5600= 186 Cars
+ 5187-5100= 88 Cars

274 Cars Received

There was an order for 340, and I think somewhere I saw/was told they ordered an extra 10, making it 350 cars.

So, that means that more than 75% of the order has been delivered.

Have seen 5790 and just today 5199. That would be about 289 cars. Lucky again today; on the WTC-NWK run rode 837 and 859. I forgot to notice; are there any PA-1,2,3 cars still in service? It seemed like I was only seeing all PA-4 consists on the old trains.

I've noticed that too. Of the NWK-WTC consists that I've seen, they've all been solid PA4 sets
