Here were NewBlue 310 and OldPaint 347 pointed east plus a covered hopper, sitting by themselves at CPF-345 just before noon on 06-09-2011. After eventually getting D-3's attention, they shoved east on 1. After getting D-3's attention again. the Heywood was opened up and they shoved back and set out the covered hopper on the House Track. They next hauled east and then shoved back onto the Heywood's two long-term residents, the bulkhead flat with the steel load and the LVRC boxcar. The next move was to haul east and then shove west, setting the LVRC box on top of the covered hopper on the House Track. The Heywood now unoccupied, they next hauled east of CPF-345 after lining and locking the branch normal and got a 241 to shove west on 2, dropping the the bulkhead flat in the yard for PW pickup. Besides there being steel on the deck, there were also multiple brakeshoes, probably as proof of repair to the next PW inspector. The next move was to haul east, clear the yard, and shove west onto the train. Air got pumped, and 645s made the noise that 645s make starting a standing train upgrade. There was also a slight cloud of pulverized sand. Now things got puzzling. The train soon stopped, the power headpinned and stopped, conversed with D-3, took care of some business, and then, after hanging the marker on the easterly -- yes, easterly -- car, ran on 1 to CPF-346 and backed on 2 to its train. The crew reminded D-3 they were good till 2 and said they could probably work some Deerfields and PWs and put the power back on the train until then. The easterly car, curiously enough, looked like it had pretty recently been through the Selkirk sidewall polisher. Mebbe ED190 had actually gotten to Fitchburg earlier. I don't know.
All of this was happening after AYMO got a pre-1300 start. Whether 190ED was going to complicate things for the Big Pig, I wasn't able to hang around to find out.
