Real time train location map
The data stream used to generate the map comes from the WMATA ROCS (Rail Operations Computer System). This data stream is the same data stream used to display the next train arrival time on the PIDS (Passenger Information Display System) displays in the stations and on the web at wmata.com/mobile/nexttrain. It is also the same data stream used to display the maps on the computes in the station managers kiosks.
Mouse over circle displays station name. Lettered pins shows train approximate location and terminal destination. Mouse over lettered pins displays station name arrival time.
