Does anyone know how long this unit will be on the NYSW? Maybe a trip down to Ridgefield Park is in store for this weekend...

The Goat was drilling the cars in front of Resources yeaterday. This was around 10 AM. At about 1 PM, an NYSW diesel was drilling the same tracks. I went out to watch the Goat and it seemed to move some long cuts of cars with no problems. Only noise was the fan at the end of the long hood.

Apparently those cuts were too long, as later that day one of the traction motors overheated; its presently being repaired.

On Tuesday, 12/21, I saw the "Green Goat" on an NYS&W train on the Edgewater Branch near where it passes over the CSX Northern Branch (91st Street North Bergen). The goat was on the west end of the train, and a HATX/Ex guilford unit was doing the work on the east end.

It appears there is a NYS&W served customer located on the north side of the Branch (Fairview side). Another Construction/Demolition debris place perhaps?

That was a nice catch. Do you know if they will order any?

Green Goat is currently (today) sitting at the north end of the engine facility in Little Ferry. Nicely spotted for morning photography from the highway ramp.

1800 was adjacent, and 3040 joined it later.
