Prior to being the museum, what was the land of the museum before? From Google Earth Maps, I see a lot of end tracks and buildings. There is a lot of Railway infrastructure. Is it all part of the museum or is it still used? I know the tracks right next to the museum are still used. Was this area once part of a yard and/or workshop?

As I remember, part of the property was a large freight house that is now used for exhibits.
