A check of an early Penn Central timetable disclosed that this line had train stop as well as CTC. Penn Central removed the
train stop equipment around 1971 maybe or 72. I would have to look it up to determine the date and I do not have time to
research it tonight nor anytime soon.

Regarding the signal bases along the Falls Road.

They are left from the ABS system that was replaced by CTC when the line was single tracked around 1960. When Conrail removed the CTC, the bungalows, signals and bases were pulled out.

I am not sure if the ABS system used color-light or semaphore type signals. The system was installed during the upgrading and double tracking that took place in the mid- twenties.
