Official Valley Railroad Thread (VRR) - 2009

How did the Valley fair with the "Blizzard of 2009?"

The 4 Saturday night trains were canceled, replaced by 4 trains tonight, Dec. 21.
The 2 daytime Sunday trains were canceled, replaced by 2 daytime trains (as well as 2 night trains)
on Sunday, Dec. 27. Attendance for the not-canceled trains has been good.

How does the Valley RR clear the tracks from the snow? Do they use the plow or just run the desiel or steamer light up and down before the daily train schedule?

ran the 0901 up light. we do not usally have that much show

the crossings are cleaered with the bucket loader
