Rails removed at E Deerfield yard

Anyone noticed that Guilford removed some unused rail at the E Deerfield yard? Under the bridge. So much for that "rustic" look. Also, I noticed there were about two sections of rail missing leading to the tracks where they park the power. Was there a derailment? Did they remove a switch? Anyone know?

That rail has been gone about three months. No derailment as far as I know.
