CNZR has added a logo to the nose of their GP-20R, cab number 3006. Does anyone
know what this means or has a close up image of the logo. It's some sort of
Black acronym/symbol but it's difficult to make out the letters.

Thanks!

It looks like a letter "C" intersecting the letters "NER" to me.

Interlaced letters were used in earlier days of railroad heralds, the Pennsylvania Railroad's "PRR" probably being the most famous example.

It's the logo of the original Central New England Railroad. Used on paper timetables, reports, etc and IIRC lantern globes! I don't believe it was used on equipment of the original company.

It doesn't mean anything. It just means they wanted to put the CNZR logo on their engine. It is in fact the original Central New England Railway logo.
