How many miles of track now make up the MTA system? I read the book, 722 Miles by Clifton Hood (1995). Tonight on Modern Marvels, 842 miles was mentioned. Has the MTA expanded?

Home of the first T Rail produced from iron, smelted with anthracite coal. Rolled on October 8, 1845.

722 might be revenue miles, 842 probably including yard tracks.
