I found new (modern) 2 axle wagons can be ordered from Greenbrier Europe:2-Axle Sliding Wall Wagon (pdf).
They also have some 6 axle wagons available too:
6-Axle Wagon-Faals (pdf); 6-axle freight cars are also fairly rare in North America, although they do exists on some heavy duty flatcars.
