With sadness, I report Harvey Noffsinger, 82, passed away recently. Harvey was retired from EMD as a District Engineer after over 27 years of service. While employed by EMD he was involved in the installation , operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the engines and electrical systems of locomotives, power plants, marine vessels, drill rigs and Navy vessels including CVAN's Nimitz and Eisenhower both domestically and overseas.
Prior to employment by EMD, he was licensed by the U. S. Coast Guard as a Merchant Marine Officer, Chief Engineer of Steam Vessels & employed by Armco Steel as Chief Engineer in the transport of coal for 16 years.
